Even though winter is here, the weather has still been nice enough to get out in. On Wednesday we went to the parkin the afternoon and Charlotte blew off some energy sliding and running around. On Thanksgiving we all rode our bikes over to Cinch's house. I was sooo happy that Reid found a way to pull Timothy along so that we could all ride bikes. Timothy's car seat fits right in the Burley bike trailer. He really seemed to enjoy his ride, and don't worry there is a clear plastic wind shield that we pulleddown right after the picture. He was so cozy and comfortable that he fell asleep halfway to Cinch's house.

Brrrrrr
Well winter has arrived. Here is a picture of the kids loaded up for a late afternoon stroll. And as Charlotte said on her very short ride "brrrr". They both seem to enjoy each other's company in the stroller.
Charlotte has been having more and more fun with Timothy as he grabs at her and her toys. I think she is begining to realize that he will be a playmate soon. Timothy is really ready to move and is showing some frustration that he cannot. He can sit up momentarily without tipping in one direction-and sitting is his preferred position lately.

New Crib
Here is Timothy, just waking up from his morning nap. He is in his new crib!! Last night was the first night that he spent the whole night in his crib-yeahhhh. Timothy is ready to move, but cannot quite get it all together. He has rolled from back to stomach a couple of times, and is threatening to go the other way too. He is very tactile-grabbing at everything, which seems to constantly include my hair. And he is still a smiley chatterbox who loves to chew on his fingers.
Cooking in the kitchen with Charlotte
Charlotte has been a huge help in the kitchen lately. Cooking with a toddler's "help" sure is an improvement over them pulling on your apron strings. Thanks to our friend Patti Leonard (Eddie Ficker's mother) she now has her own apron, which she is very proud of.
The other day she helped me make pumpkin muffins, and last night she helped with our burrito dinner. She actually stirred the bean mix and sprinkled all the cheese by herself. What fun for us.

What's Up?
We bundled the kids up and headed out for an early breakfast on Saturday-Yummmmy. Although Charlotte looks very serious, she was having fun being defiant and not smiling. While Timothy was using alll his energy to stay upright and not fall over.
Ear Muffs
Here is Timothy trying on the new ear muffs that we bought for sound protection for the kiddos. They are made especially for infants and children, and will be great for when we are hunting and have a kiddo in the backpack. Both kids enjoy trying them on. Charlotte especially likes it when she puts them on and we pretend to talk (our mouth moves but no sound comes out).

Friday Fun
Today we went to the Children's Museum with Isa and Blair. Charlotte and Isa (and Timothy some) had fun climbing around on the soft blocks, throwing fish, blowing bubbles, and making pretend pizzas. I am sure the museum will be a regular winter activity.
Leaves, Leaves, Leaves
So this video should be placed after the one below it, but I am not a perfect blogger (or for that matter perfect at anything). Anyway, as I could not play in the leaves and shoot video at the same time. Here is Charlotte asking to be thrown in the leaves one more time.
Come Here
As soon as Charlotte saw the me, she stopped playing and jumping in the leaves and started inviting me to join her. So instead of a video of her romping, here is a video of her saying "come here" or "mere".

Maiden Voyage of the Airstream
We went to Boysen Reservoir last weekend and took the airstream for some camping and bird hunting. It was a beautiful weekend, and the kids had fun just getting outand doing something different(so did we). We hope to get some more trips out in it this fall.
Halloween
Charlotte really didn't understand why she was putting on a costume, but as soon as we headed down Main Street and she saw parades of kids and adults in costume she had a great time filling her bag with goodies. Timothy had fun seeing all the silly costumes too, and only went as far as wearing a spooky shirt. After trick-o-treating went out to dinner and left the goodies for the waitress-they were never asked for again.

Headed to Storytime with Jacob
Charlotte looks a bit unsure about her friend Jacob sharing her stroller. Nonetheless they had a blast at the special Halloween storytime.
